Our Leadership Team

Our leadership team is made up of passionate people who volunteer their time, energy, and expertise to make a real difference for those living with Parkinson’s in our community. Their dedication drives our programs, events, and partnerships, helping us provide support, resources, and hope to individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s every day.

Officers

Rodger Wyland joined NewsChannel 13 in August 1986 as a weekend sports anchor/sports reporter. He is now the Sports Director, anchoring at 6 and 11 p.m. He also hosts Big Board Radio Sports Talk weekdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on WTMM, 104.5 The Team, ESPN Radio and is the play by play announcer for UAlbany Football and Basketball.

Prior to joining WNYT, Rodger was the Sports Director at WTAJ in Altoona, Pennsylvania, where he anchored sports on weekdays at 6 p.m.and 11 p.m.

Rodger is a recipient of the Iris Award, presented for a half-hour special featuring triathlete John Gracey. He is also the winner of three New York State Broadcasters Awards for local sports coverage.

A native of Altoona, Rodger graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Broadcasting in 1984. While at PSU, he was a play-by-play announcer at PSU basketball games for WPSX-TV.

Rodger lives in Albany County with his wife Kelly and kids Brady and Rachel, and their dog Oliver.

Donna Goldslager is a native of Albany and has been working as a full time real estate agent for the past 35+ years. When her husband Andy was diagnosed With Parkinson’s in 2017, Donna channeled her energy into finding as much information about the disease as possible and finding ways to improve Andy’s quality of life while living with PD. When the opportunity presented itself to work on the board of SUTP Donna was excited about the chance to make a difference not only for her husband for all of the people battling this illness.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Dr. Fruiterman graduated from the Albany Medical College in 1972. He began his practice of internal medicine and endocrinology in 1977 and maintained that practice along with his partners until his retirement in 2020. His relationship to Parkinson’s disease is both of a professional and personal nature. With over 40 years of practice, many of his patients developed Parkinson’s disease. He also has several friends who are living with the disease currently. There is also a family history with his maternal grandmother having developed Parkinson’s in her latter years.

As the former managing partner of the CPA firm Mirochnik, McGrath and Poppel, Jerry helped small businesses grow to accomplish their goals.

Previously, Jerry was an owner and CFO of SI Technologies, Inc. which provided security systems to industrial and manufacturing customers throughout New York State.

In a philanthropic capacity, Jerry has been actively involved with JDRF, now Breakthrough T1D, and other professional and religious organizations throughout his life.

Directors

Kerry has over 45 years of government and private sector experience, specializing in healthcare and health insurance. She also spent ten years as an emergency medical provider. Currently she works at a NY hospital system. Kerry’s interest in the SUTP stems from the need for providing better and more resources to individuals and families dealing with Parkinson’s, and SUTP’s true dedication to this goal.

CEO, Concord Pools & Spas, Latham, NY

Jon Foshee is the dynamic and visionary leader at the helm of Concord Pools & Spas, based in Latham, New York. With over 30 years of experience, he serves as the Owner, President, and CEO, infusing the company with a commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, earning it a position among the industry’s best year after year.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jon Foshee is deeply committed to community engagement and corporate responsibility. He fosters a culture of integrity, teamwork, and social responsibility within Concord Pools & Spas, reflecting his belief in the broader impact businesses can have on the communities they serve.

Former President and CEO of the Huck Finn Companies. Jeff has served the area by participating in numerous community, health and non profit organizations, including The Kidney Foundation, Wounded Veterans Relief Fund, Albany Medical Center, Capital Region Chamber and the Albany Local Development Corp.

Rabbi Greg Weitzman is the 14th Senior Rabbi at Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany, NY. He sits on the board of the Capital District Board of Rabbis and Cantors and serves as a Police Chaplain for the Albany Police Department with the honorary rank of Lieutenant. Prior to his time in Albany, Rabbi Weitzman lived and worked in Manhattan. Currently he resides in Slingerlands, NY with his wife Ashley and their two children Eden and Jonathan.

John Fleury brings extensive executive leadership and financial risk expertise to the board, currently serving as the President of Fleury Risk Management. John specializes in managing complex insurance programs for public entities, schools, and the hospitality industry. His background in navigating regulatory systems, overseeing strategic initiatives, and driving cost-saving solutions allows him to offer valuable governance and operational insight to the organization. John currently resides in Charlton with his wife Khristin and daughter Violet.
